“We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Desola. She came into our lives at just the right time when I was in my third trimester and feeling very anxious about giving birth. As a first time Mom, I was so afraid about the Labor and Delivery experience. In our first meeting, I admitted that to Desola in tears. Within two weeks of working with her, I felt so much more confident, capable and excited about giving birth. She gave me printed affirmations, helped me reframe my thoughts and shared resources to make educated decisions about our Birth Wishlist (plan). We worked with Desola through COVID, she never missed a Zoom meeting and when we finally met her in person - 2 weeks before my due date we connected right away. At the hospital she braided my hair and was so comforting, my mom could not be there but Desola was like a mother figure at that moment, during labor she made the ambiance very relaxing and was with us through every step letting us know what we could expect next, talking to nurses and helping support my husband, so he could also support me.
